Servants Community Housing exists to provide housing communities where respect, hope, dignity and opportunity are nurtured.

Servants Community Housing Limited is a not for profit organisation that has operated since 1986. It was started by members of the Hawthorn West Baptist Church as a response to the proposed closure of a private rooming house in the local area that would have left the residents homeless.
Servants Community Housing Limited has leased Carrical House in Hawthorn from the Office of Housing since 1987. In 2010, a 20 room Aged Care facility in Canterbury was leased by Servants on an 18 month short term lease to function as a rooming house. In 2011, the Office of Housing leased a Boroondara Council property in Kew which was then sub-leased to Servants. It is registered to house 28 residents in single rooms with en-suites. Many of the residents from the Canterbury rooming house transferred to the rooming house in Kew. In May 2014 an ex-aged care facility was leased from the Slovenian Catholic Church in Kew and transformed, with considerable help from Rotary, into an additional room house.
Servants Community Housing Limited is committed to establishing accommodation that is safe and secure and encourages a sense of belonging. To facilitate a sense of companionship and community, meals are provided in a communal dining room. Both rooming houses have both indoor and outdoor community areas with recreational facilities such as BBQs and pool tables to encourage interaction between residents and visitors. Safety and security are monitored by on-site live-in Managers.
