Agency purpose / vision

Is to provide those who are homeless or in housing crisis access to the support and resources they need to eliminate their homelessness.

Agency history

Loddon Mallee Housing Services Ltd (trading as Haven; Home, Safe) is an integrated affordable rental housing and homelessness services provider. A not-for-profit company based in Bendigo, established in 1978 and has been operating in its current form since 1994. Since then the agency has contributed more than $1 billion to the Victorian economy, operating across the state, mostly in regional areas.
Haven; Home, Safe employs more than 100 staff. By the time the current building pipeline is cleared, the association will have built more than 1000 new homes.
Loddon Mallee Housing Services operates as a common intake for all homelessness and related issues and then it streams people through the organisation by trying to link a suitable tenure and appropriate support programs to their specific problems. Through the extensive range of services, Loddon Mallee Housing Services acts as a catalyst and an effective pathway for both private organisations and governments to support community cohesion.
Loddon Mallee Housing Services merged with North East Housing Services, another registered agency on 1 October 2014. The new organisation continues to trade as Haven; Home, Safe
