Williamstown Rental Housing Co-operative Ltd is a not-for-profit tenant-managed Housing Provider that offers the security of permanent, affordable, high quality rental homes to low income Victorian families.
The Williamstown Rental Housing Co-operative (Williamstown) was established in 1982, and manages properties in the Municipality of Hobsons Bay, all owned by the Director of Housing. Williamstown provides long-term, secure and affordable accommodation to members who are in receipt of Centrelink benefits and/or on low incomes.
Williamstown is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors the majority of whom are members of the co operative democratically elected by members of the co-operative, thus ensuring member/tenant/user control of the operation of the service and a better understanding of tenant-members' needs.
