Agency purpose / vision

BAYSA is committed to the provision of programs and service delivery which will increase opportunities and reduce risks in the lives of young people from the Barwon South-Western Region. The agency operates within a social justice framework and seeks to promote community responsibility through flexible approaches and active participation by young people, volunteers and professionals.

Agency history

BAYSA (formerly Barwon Youth) has a 30 year history of delivering innovative programs to disadvantaged young people and communities, which have been premised on an understanding and respect for their unique requirements and support needs. Established in 1981, BAYSA provides a range of housing services extending across the Barwon South Western Region of Victoria and is funded from a range of government sources.
